What is the difference between Atlas and Plano?

NV Charts nautical charts are available in a unique, compact Atlas booklet format. With the fold and stapling in the middle of the chart, the paper is reduced to the handier A3 format while still having full size A2 charts when opened on the chart table - the NV. Atlas. In terms of content, it contains the same charts and harbour guides as before and also digital charts are included in NV Atlas Charts. A3 format reduced in size. Charts are in keept in perfect order, making things so much easier to find while keeping your chart table neat and tidy. The NV Atlas allows you to both have a quick reference with a great overview of a paper char
with perfectly ordered charts, while also allowing all navigational tools like rulers and pencils to be used to mark your position and plan your voyage. 
Because of the smaller space required on board and also because of the better handleing of the charts, many customers prefer the Atlas format today. 

 

In addition to the NV Atlas format, the Baltic Sea NV Serie 1, 2, 3 and 4 are also available in the conventional A2 NV Plano format. The chart setzs contain the same charts and harbour information, are covering the same areas and also the digital charts are included in both formats. If you prefer to store the charts separately and have a little more space on board, you can also purchase the Din A2 single chart setzs in Plano chart format in these selected regions.
